An interesting press release just in for those with pets...
The museum of Dartmoor Life in Okehampton invites everyone to bring their pet along to the Courtyard on Saturday 29 October between 10.30am and 1pm for a photograph to be taken which will be entered into a prize draw. The prize will be a portrait of your pet painted by specialist Artist Helene Lewis.
As part of the ‘Big Draw Campaign’ Helena Lewis and Liz Grant will be on hand during the day to encourage people to try their hand at drawing and painting; plenty of drawing materials are available for use by budding artists.
The museum also welcomes anybody who might be interested in becoming a Volunteer or a Friend to come along on the day and have a friendly chat to see what opportunities are available.
