One that missed the spring issue diary...

A charity fun day at the Morwellham Quay World Heritage Site near Tavistock will raise money to support vital lifesaving work in the county.
St John Ambulance is organising the fun day at Morwellham from 10.30am on Saturday 28 April as a major fundraiser for the charity, when half of all the admission fees to the site will be donated to St John Ambulance.
The day will include St John Ambulance information and ‘Curio’ stalls, along with expert and free displays of life saving first aid techniques – so people can pick up important tips on the basic skills they need to save a life.
Saturday also offers a chance to enjoy watching the charity’s youngsters participating in a Jubilee Challenge. This will include activities such as stretcher-bearing and a grand Tug of War tournament. Up to 200 youngsters will be present, with the Cadets also undertaking a 4-mile walk featuring a difficult first aid scenario deep in the woods.
All the usual diverse attractions of Morwellham Quay will of course also be available.
Andrew Pratt, fundraiser for St John Ambulance in Devon, said: ‘The Morwellham fun day should be a fantastic day out for all the family. It’s a great time to visit Morwellham – whether it’s your first time or if you’ve been before.’
